The MDUK Oxford Neuromuscular Centre raised over £1,400 for the 2023 Town & Gown, and over 15 MDUK ONMC members participated on race day.

The Oxford Town & Gown 10km challenge is an annual fundraising event run by the MDUK charity, and 2023 marked the 41st Town & Gown race. In preparation for the race, the MDUK Oxford Neuromuscular Centre held numerous fundraising events, including a Pub Quiz held at the Britannia Inn in Headington, a very successful Bake Sale, and a Raffle Draw that was sponsored by numerous generous donors. Overall, we raised over £1,400, surpassing our goal of £1,000 - and we had a blast doing it!

Over 15 MDUK ONMC members either ran in or volunteered for the 10k race, an event that saw over 4,400 runners and raised over £200k. One of our runners, Dr Thomas Roberts, a researcher and group leader at the University, was covered in an article in Read This... Magazine and by the IDRM where is his laboratory is based. MDUK ONMC participation was also publicised in an article by IDRM.

You can still donate to our efforts on our JustGiving page, and please support our generous donors shown below.
